Jewelry – A Great Gift For Anyone

These days, women do not have the monopoly on jewelry they once had. More and more men have found various jewelry to be manly enough to wear, perhaps inspired by the rap and hip-hop artists who use more diamonds than South Africa can produce.

No matter if you get inspired or not, most of us like the way precious metals and gems look – although some only like it on women. Jewelry has existed in one form or another for centuries, and it is not likely to change during our lifespan. The one thing that does change is the fashion, making it somewhat hard for some men to know what to get.

If you are buying jewelry for yourself, you only need to look at what YOU like, nothing else. If its not fashionable enough, who cares? If you like it, that is all that matters. If you are buying jewelry as a gift, it is a whole other story. You need to make sure you buy something either timeless or, if you know what you are doing, something that is in style right now.

Buying jewelry for your wife or girlfriend is perhaps the greatest gift of all. Most women love jewelry, and most men love how the ladies look all shiny and sparkling dressed in gold and diamonds.

Some jewelry is harder to buy as gifts than others. Rings are much harder to buy than, lets say necklaces or bracelets, simply because rings need to fit perfectly or they will fall off – or worse, not even fit the finger. Just as buying clothes, buying a ring in the wrong size may make your lady think you consider her to be fat – if it is to small, they think you wish they where thinner, if it is to big, they will think you consider them to be large enough to wear that size. Not exactly what we call a win-win situation now is it?

If you do not know the size of your wife or girlfriends fingers, you might want to get her some other jewelry, with less exact sizes. There is plenty of other jewelry to choose from even if you do not buy a ring, so there is no reason to take the risk of insulting your lady.

Necklaces are a perfect gift. Not only are they independent of size – within reason of course – necklaces are something you can’t get to many of. Most women use necklaces as they use clothes, and match them with the rest of their outfit.

Bracelets are similar to necklaces, although the size matters slightly more. A much to large bracelet will fall off, and if it is to small it won’t fit. Just as with necklaces, bracelets are an excellent accessory to match with your clothes and other jewelry.

Earrings are perhaps the most appreciated jewelry, and are totally size independent. This makes for easy shopping with little or no risk of insulting anyone. The only way I can imagine someone being offended by earrings is if they do not have piercings at all. That may seem like you are not paying much attention to them, and lets face it – They would be correct. If you do not even know whether they have had their ears pierced or not, you have not been the most attentive boyfriend on earth.
